Another successful Craft Brew and Wingfest - February 2022

The Craft Brew and Wingfest is Sunrise Rotary's premier fundraiser of the year.  We pour all of the money raised back into charitable projects throughout Indian River County and abroad.  We help our community by sponsoring events, providing services, offering financial assistance at times, and supplying manpower to numerous agencies and organizations serving all age groups from tykes to seniors.

Our event was a family-friendly atmosphere, where we had the best beer and wings in the state of Florida, live music on two stages, and the top craft beer brewers and wingfest chefs all in one place.  There truly was something for everyone at the Florida Craft Brew and Wingfest!

Take a look at a few more pictures.

Oktoberfest is about more than beer and brats for Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach and four other local Rotary Clubs. Each year the five Rotary Clubs of Indian River County unite to support efforts to eradicate the world of polio. One hundred percent of the local funds raised from the collaboration goes to Polio Plus. The groups have raised more than $60,000 locally since Rotarian Arthur Hodge first came up with the Oktoberfest event in 2009.

The Rotary of Vero Beach, Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside, Rotary Club of Orchid Island, Rotary Club of Vero Beach Sunrise and Rotary Club of Sebastian all gather for the Oktoberfest fundraiser. More than 200 members and their guests enjoy a full German spread, beer, silent and live auctions, costume and beer stein contests.

The Rotary began working toward ridding the world of this horrible disease with a project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.
